Political Science and International Relations (With Thesis) Master’s Degree

Application Regulations and Guideline

Candidates holding degrees from the departments of Political Science and International Relations, Political Science, or Political Science and Public Administration, as well as International Relations, are eligible to apply for the program. Candidates with bachelor's degrees from other programs may also be invited for an interview if they meet the other requirements. If deemed necessary during the interview, candidates may be accepted on the condition that they continue the scientific preparation program.

Candidates must meet the English language proficiency criteria of TED University English Language School to begin the program.

Candidates must have an undergraduate GPA of at least 2.50 out of 4.00 in order to pass the preliminary evaluation and be invited for an interview.

To apply to the program, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 55 points from the equal weight score types of the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES) conducted by ÖSYM, or an equivalent score of 55 points from the internationally recognized GRE and GMAT exams within the framework of equivalence determined by the Senate.

Evaluation Criteria for Applications

The evaluation criteria of applications: 

ALES (Equal Weight) 50%, Interview Score 30%, Undergraduate GPA 20%.

The procedures and principles regarding the admission of foreign candidates to graduate programs are determined by the TED University Senate.

The requested documents must be uploaded in full. Incomplete applications will not be evaluated.

You can re-enter the portal to upload documents for an incomplete application.

In case of detection of misleading information given during application and/or registration, the applicant will lose all rights gained even if the applicant is accepted or enrolled in the program.

Except for non-thesis programs, you cannot enroll in more than one graduate program at the same time.

ALES requirement for candidates with a Ph: Candidates who apply to graduate programs opened by TED University Graduate Programs Institute with doctorate / proficiency in arts / specialization in medicine / specialization in dentistry / specialization in dentistry / specialization in veterinary medicine / specialization in pharmacy" degrees do not require ALES score. Candidates who do not take the ALES exam will be considered to have an ALES score of 70 for all programs.

ALES certificate is not required for non-thesis master's degree applications. In this case, applicants will automatically apply with 70 points in ALES

Applications for the Fall 2025-26 semester have started. The deadline for application is August 1, 2025. Interviews will be held on August 6, 2025.
